      Recently my work has started using an HID Prox (https://www.hidglobal.com/products/cards-and-credentials/hid-proximity/1346) system to gain entry to our building. The link is the exact one that I have. I don't carry keys on me (my wife and I carpool) and I hate digging this out of my pocket while I'm carrying my lunch and things in the building. Will the NFC ring work? I tried to scan it with the NFC tag info app but it never gave any information. Neither did my micro-chipped dog or my US Enhanced Drivers Licence. Could something be wrong with the phone's NFC (it's a galaxy s7edge)? Or am I doing something wrong? (Yes NFC was turned on...)

      TLDR: will the NFC ring replace this?
