Phone not identified by NFC Ring App

Possibly a minor issue, but the NFC Ring app does not detect and display my phone and model details on the app settings page.

Hopefully this isn't an indication that the app won't work correctly when my NFC Payment Ring (finally/eventually/ever) arrives.

The phone is a Nokia 6. Android 7.1.1.
