eGeeTouch Padlock
-
The eGeeTouch padlock appears to be on indiegogo right now? New model?
-
@johnyma22 Listed public now :) I'm not sure what's coming out. This is the GT2000. Purchased used from Amazon.

Excellent stuff, I have a couple of their padlocks on route to me for us to take a look at :)
-
So apparently every time the lock is opened there is a record of who opened it, or at least what tag was used. I wonder if it records being opened with a TSA key, given the amount of stuff that goes missing after bags are TSA searched that would be handy to know.

"TSA key?"
-
US Customs Agents who can/will/do open baggage in transit as I understand it. There is a 'standard' called TSA, Travel Sentry Approved I think its called.

There's nothing like having a lock that everyone can open...
-
TSA backdoors appear to be analogue and not digital, this is pretty much the exact problem we're all fighting so hard to solve.
The day we give our master or even ID's over to ANY body of power is the day I quit making NFC Rings.
I feel like if this lock does have a TSA master key backdoor installed I don't think we can promote it on the store.

I am going to use your response to the ultra Christians I find in Greece, telling me I am chipped and the governments can track me down anywhere I go.....
-
If they cannot have a master key for it they will just hacksaw or bolt cut it.
-
Or my personal fav - your luggage unfortunately was damaged...

you can't stop them going through your bags if they want to, however it would be good if the lock recorded this as it would be evidence if things go missing.

Having locks on zipper luggage is just of annoyance to yourself- other then maybe preventing it to open up by getting stuck somewhere- zippers are extremely easy to open with a normal pen and wont stop anybody if they really wanted to get into it without a trace.
I'd use this kind of lock for a outdoor shed or maybe a steel-cable bike lock :)
