Lock write both side
-
Hello, I do not know why using this application, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nfcmobilekey.free, NFC RING is locked in writing, I'm not able to reprogram.
I try several application to initialize or erase the data on the ring as nfc TRIGGER or NFC TOOLS, but impossible to write on the nfc.
Is there the possibility of a reset to bypass this security.
Thank you for your help. -
you can do with the NXP tagwriter app.
select "protect tags" then "remove protection" -
thank you for your answer
I already tried nfc TAGwriter by NXP, a message says "write protect failed (unknown error)"http://imagik.fr/view-rl/136194 -
I've finally found the topic of John to this problem

Well the tags can be hard locked.
I liken this to taking a piece of paper, writing a message on it then laminating that piece of paper..
For some people it's ideal. For others, they use an application (such as what's happened here) that basically spills ink on their sheet of paper
It seems like @gangis fell into this trap, it's a trap we knew existed and so far has only affected ~2 people in ~100k..
Consider this similar to flashing your bios guys, you might have a bad time..
With the above in mind @gangis I think the best thing is that you use the "YESITSFRIDAY" discount code today and grab a ring at 35% off...

I was just about to make a post about this. How easy it is to accidentally hard lock a tag?

@Scott-Beaudry you really have to do it on purpose. It is conceivable that someone could select it and then ignore the warnings and do it 'accidentally'. That would be user error though.
