Unlock was working, now I have to use my pin instead
-
I got my ring and had issue initially with set up, since my account was not active and had to redo one. Anyway got it all set up finally and login worked so I registered the ring and it was unlocking fine. It stopped working about an hour later and I don't hear a beep and the unlock screen stays up, so I enter my pin and my device loads a screen called scanned tags, and when I hit back to exit, it displays the same tag screen for each time my NFC sweet spot registered the tag I guess. Tried disabling everything and run through various settings etc. Turned nfc off and on, Device off/on. I've run the gauntlet with trouble shooting methods. When I access the unlock app with my ring, registers and works... -___- so disappoint, much sad
So now I have a cool ring with a computer chip that does nothing. So if you have a solution let me know.
Also why is there no option to make the ugly clear coat chip covered? IE black with a dot or something, like one side is CF the other is solid. I kind of thought the chip on the one side was exposed only for display purposes.

It seems like your tag is either overwritten or some application is stopping the unlock app from registering the ring.
please try to remove the tag in the unlock app an then add it again. Please note that the tag which is used for unlocking (with the NFC ring unlock app) can not be used for something different than unlocking.
hope this helps.

I am just going to delete the app and all the data. Nothing has worked thus far
I have a rooted Note 3 with an original Galaxy Gear. -

so is it possible that you have changed a few things and maybe even have some apps installed that need the device to be rooted?

@JimmyDingDongs did you try this? Try registering both sides as keys, and then test.
If you can still access the app using the ring then the ring still works, it's just not launching the unlock properly when the phone is locked.
Unlock App writes data to the inlay which must be retained unaltered in order for it to work.Alternatively, if you're rooted then why not try something else that will allow you to bypass the standard lock screen using a ring?
