It is possible to read the ceramic rings with an iPhone 7 and up, with iOS11+ installed. But as Andreas said - Apple have still locked things down for the most part. You would have to write to the ring using a different device, generally speaking.
What Android Version are you running? You should see it in the Settings App und the section About
